One of my favorite blogs is Blissfully Domestic. There’s a little something for everyone, from kids crafts to fitness, entertaining to technology. It would hard to not find something to read and learn about. In fact, I think you’d actually have to try not to find anything.
Anyway, Blissfully Domestic is hosting a Find Bliss 2010 Challenge. Each week they post different weekly challenges an invite their reader to take part. This week, I’m up to the challenge. Which is…drum roll…to DECLUTTER one room in our house.
This is what I picked to declutter. It’s not a room exactly. It’s more like an area that collects junk. This is where the mail goes, the odds and ends that don’t have a home, the bread crumbs, things to shred. Pretty much everything in our house has at one point sat on this counter.
Before
At least the diaper was clean.
Hello overflowing basket of junk.
Shred much? That would be a no.
I wonder what else was living in there?
After
Does it feel Blissfully Domestic to have this clean and organized? Actually, yes it does. Any guesses on how long it will stay this wa?
Next challenge, the linen closet. If I’m not back in 2 weeks, send help. Or just sell the house. It’s probably easier that way.

My counter is the kitchen table! About once a week or so…it is clean for about 5 hrs give or take…:( How does this happen!

Great job! I keep getting inspired to unclutter while at work…and then can’t ever get to it when I’m at home. Sadness.

@Mrs Soup, Never mind that comment, I responded to the wrong one!
Our counter has survived the weekend (mostly), we’ll see how the week treats it.
